From architecture to jewelry design

My jewelry is the piece of a journey. Each piece contains a piece of my story, a blend of art , architecture , and photography . I graduated in architecture and specialized in landscape photography in Rome. I conducted research on contemporary cities and landscapes. In 2010, I returned to Sicily, an emotional refuge but also an endless source of inspiration. Little by little, photography began to explore metals , and in 2015, I launched TILE, my brand of handcrafted jewelry.
As an architect, both for passion and for work, my eyes are constantly drawn to details : the majolica coverings of ancient Sicilian noble palaces, the mixed marbles of Baroque churches, the small, colourful flowers of spontaneous vegetation capture me and become the subjects of my photographs .
And it is from this photographic research that the MADUNA and FLEURS collections were born in 2017, projects in constant evolution. Brass, a warm material that pairs beautifully with the nuances of our island, dialogues with my tiles.
Brass is also at the heart of the MIRAR line, inspired by ancient Sicilian jewellery, where ceramic tiles take the place of the precious stones that embellished ancient ornaments.
