The decoration on the tile comes from a majolica photographed in the cloister of the Monastery of Saint Catherine of Alexandria in Palermo. It is an 18th-century majolica floor, found both in the cloister and in the antechambers, characterised by an intertwined geometric pattern in shades of blue and white.
